Behavioral Health focuses on emotions, behaviors, and biology relating to a person's mental well-being, their ability to function in everyday life, and concept of self.
Our mental health staff includes both Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner's (PMHNP) and a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). Alison Kerans, PMHNP, Amber Wold, PMHNP, and Michelle Locke, LCSW offer support to adults, teens, and children seeking diagnosis, short or long-term treatment, and management of mental and emotional health challenges. Our team also offers an array of solutions to help individuals maintain a positive outlook and engage in healthy habits.
PMHNP
The role of a PMHNP is to assess, diagnose and provide treatment for mental health needs. These providers help patients' by conducting psychiatric evaluations and prescribing medications (when appropriate) for patients who need care related to the following:
- Major Depressive Disorder
- Other Depressive Disorders
- Generalized Anxiety Disorder
- Other Anxiety Disorders
- Panic Disorder
- PTSD
- Bipolar Disorder
- Schizophrenia
- ADHD
- OCD
- Eating Disorders (Anorexia, Bulimia, Binge Eating Disorder)
- Disruptive Mood Dysregulation Disorder (DMDD)
- Oppositional Defiant Disorder
- Intermittent Explosive Disorder
- Autism Spectrum Disorder
- Tic Disorders
LCSW
Licensed Clinical Social Workers provide diagnoses and counseling services for: mental, behavioral, and other emotional needs. Social workers often work on a one-on-one basis with clients and use therapeutic techniques to provide patients with resources to help them move toward better lives.

- Behavioral interventions for weight loss and healthy lifestyle changes
- Relationship issues and / or domestic violence concerns
- Chronic pain and pain management

- Substance misuse or abuse (or suspected)

- Somatic symptoms: Non-adherence to treatment plan
