The Graham Hospital Surgical Services Department is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, advanced technology and equipment, and features highly-trained surgeons and surgical support staff. The entire surgical team, including registered nurses, surgical technicians, Anesthesiologists, and CRNAs, is here to ensure patients and their loved ones have a positive experience before, during, and after surgical procedures.

Operations 

The Surgical Services department located on the second floor of Graham Hospital includes 7 pre-operative stations, 5 operating rooms (OR), and 6 PACU (post anesthesia care unit) beds, where both inpatient and outpatient care is provided. All of the surgeons are board certified and perform a variety of procedures, including vascular, thoracic, general, orthopedic, ENT, gynecology, obstetrics, ophthalmology, urology, pain management, and radiological specialties on patients of all ages. Each patient can expect a maximum of one nurse to 2 patient ratio in the surgery department throughout the surgery process. The surgery department is open Monday through Friday from 6am-3pm, after hours you can page the house supervisor to respond to any questions or concerns. After normal hours, a team of staff and surgeons are available to provide emergency surgery in the event you or a loved one would need care.

Graham Hospital also offers an Endoscopy and Pain Management Suite on the second floor which includes two procedure rooms and 5 pre and post-operative beds. The endoscopy suite refers to a dedicated area where medical procedures are performed with endoscopes, which are cameras used to visualize structures within the body, such as the digestive tract and genitourinary system. In addition the Endoscopy Suite is utilized for pain management procedures and urological.

 A surgical waiting room is conveniently located on the 2nd floor between the Surgery Department and Endoscopy Suite. There is a surgical tracking board located in the waiting room that allows family and friends to follow the progress of the patient through the surgery process from pre-operative, procedure start/end, through post-anesthesia care. Each patient is provided with a unique number upon registration to protect the patients privacy. 

Anesthesia

The Anesthesia Department consists of 5 CRNA's (Certified Nurse Anesthetists) and one Anesthesiologist that provide care and services to all patients throughout the hospital. Labor epidurals are also provided upon request for all obstetric patient's.
