General Surgery
Graham Health System’s general surgeons, Erin Bailey, M.D. , Rozana Dwyer, M.D. , and F. Nani Moazzam, M.D. and Nurse Practitioner, Abby Putnam, APRN are highly skilled professionals who combine modern technology and compassionate care to offer quality surgical services close to home.
A General Surgeon is a highly skilled surgeon, and the word "general" should not be confused with a lack of specific training. It is more appropriate to think of the General Surgeon as a specialist of commonly performed procedures, such as diseases, injuries and conditions affecting the abdomen, breasts, digestive system, endocrine system and skin. Surgeons also evaluate biopsies, lab tests, and imaging tests as part of delivering care.
We are excited to offer robotic surgeries with our DaVinci Robot for those patients who qualify. Robotic surgery can offer benefits to patients such as smaller incisions, less pain and a faster recovery.
We have listed a few reasons to see our Board Certified General Surgeons; however, other conditions may also be treated:
Repair of:
- Hernia
- Anti – Reflux (GERD)
- Hemorrhoids
Procedures:
- Colonoscopy
- Upper Endoscopy
- Removal of Skin Lesions
- Port placement
- Breast biopsies
Surgeries Involving:
- Appendix
- Gallbladder
- Small Intestine
- Thyroid
- Colon
