Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)

Department: Anesthesia Type: Full-Time Shift: Varies Hours: 80 hrs biweekly; Mon- Friday 6:30 – End of Cases

A Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) works in collaboration with anesthesiologists, surgeons and other physicians and medical professionals to deliver anesthesia for medical and surgical procedures. The CRNA cares for patients of all ages from newborn to geriatric, before, during and after a medical procedure or surgery. They performing patient interviews,   assessments, and then prepare patients for anesthesia, administering and maintaining the anesthesia to ensure proper sedation and pain management throughout the procedure/case. They oversee patient recovery from anesthesia and care for the patient's immediate post-operative needs.

  • Must be graduate of an accredited school of anesthesia. 
  • Must have a current certification by AANA.
  • Must be a Registered Nurse with a current Illinois License.
  • Current NRP, BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications

CRNA positions range between $225,000 – $275,000 annual salary plus commensurate call pay.  All wages are determined by experience and skills, with salary information discussed in further detail upon interview.
