GH Patient Access Specialist I Float

The Registration Clerk is responsible for the complete registration of patients who are receiving services at Graham Hospital. Registration Clerks must have excellent organizational and communication skills and must exhibit courteous, caring guest relations skills, use good judgment regarding confidential information and be team oriented. The Registration Clerk must work well with others to ensure a pleasant, positive patient experience and will serve as a trainer and mentor for new employees. This position reports to the Patient Access Director.

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Excellent human relations skills
  • Excellent communication skills, including verbal clarity
  • Familiarity with laboratory testing
  • Familiarity with ICD-9 and CPT coding manuals
  • Familiarity with approved medical abbreviations
