PRN Emergency Department APP/Physician Assistant

Location: Graham Hospital Department: Emergency Department Type: PRN - As Needed Shift: Varies Hours: Every other Friday with opportunity to pick up additional shifts as they arise

The Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner/ Physician Assistant) (NP/PA) works in conjunction with a physician(s) in the Graham Hospital Emergency Department to deliver emergent health care services to people of all ages and their families, providing patients with the information they need to make informed decisions about their health care and lifestyle choices. The NP/PA reports directly to the Medical Director of the Emergency Department.

Position Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an Advanced Practice Nurses/Family Physician accredited program.
  • Minimum of 3 years Emergency Department or critical care clinical experience as mid-level provider preferred 
  • Certified as a Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant by the State Board of Illinois
  • NP’s must have a current license to practice nursing in the State of Illinois
  • BLS certification through AHA required
  • ACLS or willingness to obtain within 6 months
  • PALS or willingness to obtain within 6 months
  • ATLS or willingness to obtain within 6 months
  • NRP or willingness to obtain within 6 months

PRN ED APP/PA positions range between $77.76-80.64 per hour.  All wages are determined by experience and skills, with salary information discussed in further detail upon interview. Compensation Information
