PRN Emergency Physician

Department: Emergency Department Type: PRN - As Needed Shift: Varies Hours: Ability to work 3-4 12 hour shifts per month, including day shift (7a-7p) night shifts(7p-7a) Monday – Friday, and weekend and holiday shifts.

Will provide clinical care in Emergency Department for a designated period of hours per week as scheduled by the Medical Director. ED Physician will help with supervision of APPs (Nurse Practitioners or Physician Assistants).

GHS Emergency Department is a lower volume ED with 35-40 patients per 24 hours.

  • Medical degree, hospital Medical Staff privileges, and emergency medicine experience required
  • Current ACLS certification through the AHA is required and must be maintained. (If current certification is not through the AHA then it must be obtained through the AHA at the recertification.)
  • Current ATLS is required and must be maintained.
  • Current PALS certification through the AHA is required and must be maintained. (If current certification is not through the AHA then it must be obtained through the AHA at the the recertification.
  • Current NRP certification through the AAP is required and must be maintained. (If current certification is not through the AAP then it must be obtained through the AAP at the recertification).

PRN Emergency Room Physician position base rate of $235/hr plus per patient stipend of $25 and APP supervision stipend of $10 per patient. All wages are determined by experience and skills, with salary information discussed in further detail upon interview.
