The Wellness Coordinator (WC) helps develop a strategic plan, in conjunction with the Director of Cardiopulmonary Rehab and Wellness, and administration, to improve physical health, and reduce modifiable risk factors for illness and injury in the employee population, as well as to provide a roadmap for improvement/increase in external services offered. The WC markets and implements fitness and health improvement programs and tracks individual and group outcomes. They also play an active role in investigating the most user friendly and effective online wellness tool, and evaluating the need for an update or change in this realm of employee/community wellness. The WC will help oversee an at large employee wellness committee for program feedback and planning/implementation of larger employee wellness events. Additionally, the coordinator is responsible for the employee wellness program enrollment, Graham Wellness Center (GWC) memberships, equipment orientation, and personal training. He/she spearheads the Graham Health System Wellness related programs in regards to design, organization, implementation, and the scheduling of meetings for evaluation and improvement of the program. Oversees the GWC facility, tending to the function, layout, equipment, cleanliness, etc. Manages all classes offered through GWC for both the employee and community population. Effectively markets and sells memberships to GWC (employee, business, partner, and resident), as well as community wellness business partner contracts. In conjunction with Director, develops employee wellness programs for corporations within the community. The WC markets and oversees the organization, scheduling, provision of services, and invoicing of the Community Wellness outreach program
Education and Certifications
- Bachelors degree in Exercise Science
- BLS certification through AHA or American Red Cross required.
